Googly Ghouls

Hello Stamp Friends!

Today I would like to share a couple projects made with the "Googly Ghouls" stamp set. First, is a quick and easy card that I made. I saw the most adorable bags on the Late Night Stampers Demo Only Yahoo group by starzlmom28. If you belong to that group, you can click on her name and you'll have to sign in to see the bags.

I decided to change it into a card. I started with a Tangerine Tango card base and then I ran my basic black layer through the Big Shot using the Spider Web embossing folder. I wanted to add some sparkle to it, so it would stand out more. I filled my Stampin' Spritzer bottle about 80% full with rubbing alcohol. Then I added about 4 drops of the Frost White Shimmer Paint and after putting the lid on tight, I shook it really well. I then laid down some of the brown paper that comes in our Stampin' Up! orders and sprayed it a few times (until it was covered) and let it dry.

Next, I stamped my bat and I cut him out, because I wanted extra dimension. He is put on with a Stampin' Dimensional. I used one of the round tags from the Ghoulish Goolies Designer Kit. I love how it fits perfectly inside the 2 3/8" scallop circle. I put Stampin' Dimensionals between the scallop circle and the tag. My scallop was put on with Snail Adhesive. Then I added the Googly Eyes. That bat is just too cute!

For my "BOOOO" sentiment, I stamped it on a piece of white card stock that I had previously cut out using the Itty Bitty Banners framlits. I knew I'd probably be using these a lot, so I cut out a bunch and put them in a left over embellishment container. I then cut a couple small pieces of ribbon and folded them over, cutting off the ends and stuck them to the bottom of the sentiment with glue dots. Then I put it on with dimensionals and added the Googly Eyes. I thought this would be a nice card for a kid.

Next, I had to share a project that we made at my upline's house using the same stamp set. This time we used the witch and spider images from the stamp set. Isn't this darling?

I love everything about this! That little pinwheel couldn't be cuter and I love the cotton ribbon tied around the handle and the way she tied on the spider tag with Linen Thread. I do have the most amazing upline!

I'm sitting here in a very quiet house. Both of my boys had a sleepover at the neighbors house last night and my hubby went shopping. I could hear a pin drop in here. I have a couple birthday cards I need to make, so I better take advantage of this quiet.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great day!
