A few weeks ago, I got together with a group of very talented stamper friends. We each brought 2 projects to make and a swap to exchange at the end. I have lots to share, but I would like to start with the projects that were made by my friend Amy K.
The first thing she had for us to do is cover this 3-D letter. She had everything pre-cut. All we had to do was put Sticky Strip along the edges and cover with the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (from Sale-A-Bration). Once that was done, we used a craft knife to cut off any excess DSP, then we sanded the edges and sponged them with Early Espresso ink, to give it a vintage look. We then used the Fancy Flower punch for the flowers. Once they were punched, we used our bone folder to curl the edges (once the fibers were broken, we could easily separate the edges). Then we used the Blossom Boquet punch to add layers on top of the flower and we added a brad from the Sale-A-Bration ribbon and brad pack. Last we used the Pleated Satin ribbon from the Occasions mini (which retired April 30th. I'm so sad to see this ribbon go. I didn't care for it at first, but like everything else Stampin' Up! makes, I usually fall for the things that I don't like at first:) We also used Chantilly ribbon (also retiring on May 31st) and the Calypso Coral In-Color ribbon.
Next is the card that she brought for us to make. We randomly stamped the flower and the other smaller images on Whisper White card stock for the background (stamping off the ink first, for a more pastel look). We stamped the large flower and punched it out. Then we stamped on Pool Party and punched it out using the 1" circle and last stamped the center flower and punched it out using the 3/4" circle punch. The Wisteria Wonder card stock was run through the Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. Then we added the Pool Party 3/8" ruffled ribbon. The sentiment came from the Petite Pairs stamp set. Once it was stamped, we then used the Scallop Oval punch to make a Wisteria Wonder background for the sentiment. I love these colors together!
Last, is the swap that she gave to everyone at the end of the night. I love the softness of this card. Button Buddies is such a cute stamp set and this is my favorite design from the Twitterpatted Designer Series paper. I love the little flowers she punched using the Itty Bitty punch pack.
Well, I hope you have enjoyed Amy's work as much as I do. These projects are first class all the way!
Please come back as I have much more to share from our little get-together. I hope you have a beautiful day!
Love the cards but the J is beautiful. Zx
