Today I would like to share the card that I made for Christmas this past year. I knew when I saw the trees from the Peaceful Pines stamp set, that I wanted to make a scenery card with it. Easier said than done.
I first stamped the trees and tried cutting them out with the framelits, so I could pop them up, but there was too much of a white border, so they didn't look right.
I took a 3 3/4 x 5" piece of Whisper White card stock and stamped the full tree first, using Garden Green and Soft Suede Stampin' Write Markers. Then I cleaned off the stamp. Then I colored just part of the tree and stamped the other two smaller trees. I next stamped the deer from retired "Best of Christmas" stamp set and the sentiment from the retired "Greetings of the Season" stamp set.
I knew I wanted a pale looking sky, but I also wanted snow, so I decided to sponge the Softly Falling Embossing Folder with Soft Sky ink and ran it through the Big Shot for the sky. I used the Two Way Glue Pen lightly touching each of the snow dots and then adding Dazzling Diamonds Glitter. Then I added Basic Rhinestones to the deer antlers for embellishing. Though this card looks really simple, it was a lot of work and took me a good while to make 50 of them. I case a lot of projects, but when it comes to my Christmas card, it has to be my own design. I hope you like it.
