Showcasing Christin R!

Hello Stamp Friends!

I hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend! We had a really nice one spending time with family and friends at a graduation party and a cookout.

Today I would like to share projects that were made by Christin R. She actually brought three 3-D projects for us to make. First is this gorgeous CD holder. Everythnig was pre-cut for us. All we had to do was put the layers together and stamp the flower 4 times on the Whisper White piece that was pre-cut for the front. Then we had scrap paper to stamp the flower 5 more times using the flower from the Button Buddies stamp set. I love this flower as it coordinates with the smaller scallop circle punch. After punching them out, we put them on the front using Stampin' Dimensionals. Then we put them on the inside. Only two have dimnesionals on the inside. We punched out 1/2" circles in Basic Black for the flower centers. We used the Mom stamp from the Family Reunion stamp set and punched out a scallop oval in Basic black card stock and mounted them on the inside. On the right side there is a pull out, so you can write your own personal message. The pull out tab was made using the Decorative Label punch, scored in half and attached with Sticky Strip. We used the Black Top Note to hold it closed. The back was attached using Sticky Strip and the front is held together with Velcro. It was completed adding a Real Red Designer Button, which was put on with Glue Dots. I love the design and Red is my favorite color! Isn't this beautiful?

For her next project, we used the Kindness Matters stamp set to make this adorable mini scrapbook. We stamped the biggest butterfly for the front, punching it out with the 1-1/4" Square punch and then attached it to the Scallop Square punched in Pretty In Pink card stock. We mounted it to the front using Stampin' Dimensionals. On the inside we stamped the other two butterflies (one on each page) and then we made a cute little border with Rhinestones at the bottom of the last page. Too cute!

Next, is a mini scrapbook that was made out of a full sheet of DSP. There are pockets in each page, which makes it great for stuffing photos, notes, & even gift cards in. We used the Best Dad Ever & Family Reunion stamp sets to stamp the cover and messages on the inside. We stamped the ties from the Best Dad Ever stamp set and cut 4 of the 5 out and put them on little note cards that slip into the pockets. I can't wait to stuff mine full of photos of the boys for my hubby. I know he will love this little treasure:)

Last, I would like to share her swap. She used the Bright Blossoms & Family Reunion stamp sets on this card. I love it!

Thank you Christin for your awesome projects! I love them all:)

In my next post, I will have Heather's projects.

Thanks so much for coming by and I hope you have a great day!

Showcasing Jen M!

Hello stamp friends!

I'm back today to share more projects from a stamp gathering a few weeks ago. Today I would like to share the projects that were brought by my friend Jen M.

First is her 3-D project. We started with a 5 x 5" Rich Razzleberry base. Then she used the new Summer Smooches DSP & Designer Rosette Bigz XL die for the accordian effect. Then we made this darling little dragonfly out of various punches. The sentiment came from Teeny Tiny Wishes and the background layer was made using the Designer Label punch. Last, we used the new Daffodil Delight Seam Binding ribbon. Jen, this was my favorite of your projects. The "Brights" color family is my favorite and I'm a big fan of punch art. I absolutely LOVE it!

For her card, we started with an Elegant Eggplant base, then used a Crumb Cake layer. We stamped the main image on Naturals White cardstock using the Field Flowers stamp set and the butterfly from the Nature Walk stamp set. We tore the left side and paper pierced around the remaining edges. We then sponged the edges and then added linen thread. Simple and beautiful:)

Last, I would like to share her swap card. She used the Parlor Prints Background stamp and the Tea Shoppe set. I love the way she wraped the smaller pearls around the larger one. Very cute!

I still have projects from 2 more talented stampers and my own. So I hope you will come back and check them out. I hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

Showcasing Amy K!

Good afternoon stamp friends!

A few weeks ago, I got together with a group of very talented stamper friends. We each brought 2 projects to make and a swap to exchange at the end. I have lots to share, but I would like to start with the projects that were made by my friend Amy K.

The first thing she had for us to do is cover this 3-D letter. She had everything pre-cut. All we had to do was put Sticky Strip along the edges and cover with the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper (from Sale-A-Bration). Once that was done, we used a craft knife to cut off any excess DSP, then we sanded the edges and sponged them with Early Espresso ink, to give it a vintage look. We then used the Fancy Flower punch for the flowers. Once they were punched, we used our bone folder to curl the edges (once the fibers were broken, we could easily separate the edges). Then we used the Blossom Boquet punch to add layers on top of the flower and we added a brad from the Sale-A-Bration ribbon and brad pack. Last we used the Pleated Satin ribbon from the Occasions mini (which retired April 30th. I'm so sad to see this ribbon go. I didn't care for it at first, but like everything else Stampin' Up! makes, I usually fall for the things that I don't like at first:) We also used Chantilly ribbon (also retiring on May 31st) and the Calypso Coral In-Color ribbon.

Isn't this gorgeous? Thank you so much Amy! It looks beautiful on top of my desk and I've received many comments on it.

Next is the card that she brought for us to make. We randomly stamped the flower and the other smaller images on Whisper White card stock for the background (stamping off the ink first, for a more pastel look). We stamped the large flower and punched it out. Then we stamped on Pool Party and punched it out using the 1" circle and last stamped the center flower and punched it out using the 3/4" circle punch. The Wisteria Wonder card stock was run through the Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. Then we added the Pool Party 3/8" ruffled ribbon. The sentiment came from the Petite Pairs stamp set. Once it was stamped, we then used the Scallop Oval punch to make a Wisteria Wonder background for the sentiment. I love these colors together!

Last, is the swap that she gave to everyone at the end of the night. I love the softness of this card. Button Buddies is such a cute stamp set and this is my favorite design from the Twitterpatted Designer Series paper. I love the little flowers she punched using the Itty Bitty punch pack.

Well, I hope you have enjoyed Amy's work as much as I do. These projects are first class all the way!

Please come back as I have much more to share from our little get-together. I hope you have a beautiful day!

Floral District Mother's Day

Hello Stamp Friends!

Today I would like to share a few cards that I made for some very special Mom's. The first two cards were made for my Mom & my Mother-In-Law. I didn't want to give them the same exact card (even though they're pretty close:), so I switched up the colors to make them a little different. I used the new Floral District Designer Series Paper, which will be available to customers on June 1st.

I also used the soon to retire Daisies #2 die and my "Happy Mother's Day" stamp has been retired for some time now, but I love how elegant it looks.

Supplies Used:

Stamps: All-Year Cheer II (retired)
Paper: Rose Red, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White & Floral District
Ink: Tangerine Tango & Rose Red
Other: Big Shot, Tasteful Trim & Dasies #2 dies, 3/4" circle punch & Stampin' Dimensionals

I made the next card for my Sister-In-Law and best friend in the world, Katie. This is another design from the Floral District DSP. Don't you just love it?

Supplies Used:

Stamps: All-Year Cheer II (retired)
Paper: Baja Breeze, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White & Floral District
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Other: Big Shot, Tasteful Trim & Dasies #2 dies, 1" circle punch & Stampin' Dimensionals

I wanted to wish all of my readers a wonderful Mother's Day! I hope you're having a great day!
